A Fruitland, Maryland man accused of murdering another man after a night of drinks with friends has been indicted.

47 ABC reports that a grand jury in Wicomico County Circuit Court indicted Douglas Harlow Tuesday.

Court records show that Ronnie Glen Mackert of Wicomico County was discovered buried in December 2016 between two homes.

The 47-year-old Harlow was arrested and charged with 1st and 2nd degree murder, improper disposal of a body and other offenses.

State Police say someone contacted authorities about Mackert's slaying, which occurred in February 2016. The woman told police Harlow assaulted Mackert during an argument at a gathering and kicked him out of a home.

She and other witnesses say they later found Mackert dead near a bloody knife. Police say the witnesses then saw Harlow dig a hole and dump Mackert in it.

If found guilty on all counts, Harlow faces more than 70 years in prison.
