Temperatures may dip to new record lows early Friday morning, and Delaware Electric Cooperative is issuing a Beat the Peak Alert between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.

Co-op members are asked to conserve electricity during those two hours in order to help keep costs down for themselves and the Cooperative.

Suggestions include putting off usage of large appliances such as washers, dryers and dishwashers, or turning down the thermostat a few degrees.
