Five people rescued following boat engine fire
By Mark Fowser

Five people are rescued from a boat near the Indian River Inlet Bridge after the vessel's engine catches fire.

The Coast Guard says the call for help came early Sunday morning from someone on board the 36-foot Sport Fisher.

A crew from the Indian River Coast Guard station responded and brought five people by boat back to shore.

No one was hurt, although smoke at one point started to fill the cabin.
