Firefly Festival 2013 lineup announced

Delaware's inaugural Firefly Music Festival in 2012 was widely hailed as a success last summer. Tens of thousands spent most, if not all, of a three-day weekend near Dover International Speedway to enjoy dozens of musical acts including The Killers, the Black Keys, Jack White and many more.

Now, the 2013 Firefly line-up has been announced. The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers will headline, as will Vampire Weekend and Foster the People. The Lumineers, Alabama Shakes and The Avett Brothers are just a few of the other acts on their way to Dover in June. Public Enemy, The Yeah Yeah Yeah's and Calvin Harris are also on the bill.

Delaware has shown it can pull off an event of this scale. The 2012 Firefly Festival was graced by a very comfortable weekend compared to most summer weekends in Delaware.

What do you think of this year's event? Are you planning to get your tickets?

They go on sale later this week.
